Deadpool & Wolverine Movie Review
Messy, hilarious, and way more emotional than I expected.
Let’s be honest — Deadpool & Wolverine is loud, violent, crude, and completely insane… and I kinda loved it. It gives you exactly what you'd expect from Deadpool — nonstop jokes, fourth-wall breaks, over-the-top action — but also gives you something you might not expect: some quiet, meaningful moments that really land. Especially when it comes to Wolverine.
The action scenes are great. There are tons of slow-mo hero shots, bloody fight sequences, and just enough visual flair to make it all feel comic book-y in the best way. But honestly? What stuck with me the most were the slower moments with Logan. There’s real weight to him here. Hugh Jackman doesn’t just show up and phone it in — he brings everything he’s built over 20+ years of playing this character. You feel the history. The pain. The reluctance. And it just works.
If you’ve grown up watching those early X-Men and Fantastic Four movies, you’ll probably feel the same kind of nostalgia I did. It’s not just a goofy crossover — it’s a strange but fitting tribute to a whole era of superhero storytelling.
Ryan Reynolds is, of course, peak Deadpool. Snarky, sarcastic, deeply inappropriate — but also, surprisingly, the emotional glue holding the story together. He and Jackman have great chemistry, and while I think Wolverine might’ve stolen the show, I could definitely be convinced otherwise.
Now, about the cameos — they’re fun. Really fun. And they don’t feel like lazy Easter eggs either. Each one is either hilarious, surprising, or actually meaningful to the story. Whether you’re deep in the Marvel weeds or just a casual fan, they land well.
