As always, there is an update to formatting. I can talk about above the navigation bar, and now about the sidebars, and font sizes, and more. I guess this might be a big update.. we'll see.
I've been taking a lot of inspiration from many different places. And you either, notice the inspiration, or you don't. And that's fine, I'm trying to make this site my own, while keeping the relevant programming know-how up to snuff.
I've been taking inspiration from ign.com, for one.
I found that I really appreciated the format of these news stories on their site. I took that and ran with it. Now, if you'll recall in the previous update, I had #tags. Now, I've currently made those invisible as I work out what exactly to do with them.
I've taken inspiration from vitalik.ca, the creator of etherium (a cryptocurrency).
I followed his lead with my formatting of titles, paragraph font sizing and letter spacing, as well as the bars under every heading. He is very smart, if you have a chance to read any of his articles.
I've taken inspiration from gamespot.com, that's where I added the recents bar, above the navigation bar on the home page!
This, turns out will be very helpful for me to learn, because I'm noticing everywhere has a horizontal scroll function all over sites!
Lastly, is the Visual Studio Code IDE documentation site code.visualstudio.com, for the sidebars!
I saw this last night, while working on homework and decided I had to have it! So, I took a screenshot at 23:10 (yes I use 24-time and I will be making a post about it). Then, at around 01:30, at the start of this post, I had added that feature to a few blogs. Today I will be working on adding that to all posts. So, if you're reading this and the side bars are not active on all posts, you're early! I will also say, as of right now, those side bars are not active for mobile. I couldn't quickly come up with a solution that would resolve the formatting issues.
I truly don't have much else to say! I'm going to be working on the sidebars today, but I also might be working on a newsletter!
