This was a highlight from the game, this giraffe scene after all the whole tough game and violence before to see this delightful scene to give us a bit of a respite. That was nice.

Oh boy, Joel is about to wreck this whole place to get to Ellie. This is going to be awesome. For the story, this is painful, this hurts so much for Joel and us, of course. They're going to kill Ellie, and they didn't know that and Joel is not going to have that. He will not have that. And now Joel, "I don't have time for this". That's right! HERE WE GO JOEL! "I won't let you take her.." shot. Joel, whoa!

The Ending of Last of Us

The ending of Last of Us has always been a ponderer. Not in the sense of "what just happened", but "what should've happened." Clearly Joel should've given Ellie up to possibly save the world, but would it have saved the world? We don't know. This is the the story, and this is amazing. So powerful really. And Joel is going to lie to Ellie. That's tough. And Ellie has to know, she showed it when she and Joel talked at the end. Wow.

When Ellie is awake, oh this hurts. Ellie knows Joel lied, and that hurts because Joel is trying so hard to be okay with it.
