As a fan of the Mistborn series and of Kelsier himself, The Eleventh Metal was an absolute delight. This short story offers a quick, intriguing glimpse into who Kelsier was before the events of the first Mistborn novel—without bogging you down in an overly detailed backstory.

While the prose feels a little weaker compared to Sanderson’s usual standard, the signature magic and excitement of Allomancy is as captivating as ever.
